Chad and Cindy Rover of New Pasture Farm are my Meat Riot partners. They know that the first step for any pasture based farm is pasture quality and health. In NC this can be a challenge, hence the need for grain supplementation. Remediating pastures to have a high brix buys freedom from heavy grain supplementation. Animal feeds are a wide avenue for biotechnology companies power and we want no part of it. Together we work to involve, encourage and support other farmers to transition into this state of independence while educating consumers of the importance of supporting these clean real foods. We hope to keep finding creative ways to produce and help others produce the food you want for you and your pets! Biotechnology free farming is a passion of ours, as well as providing nutrient dense and therapeutic food for people, pets, and livestock. New Pasture Farm offerings include beyond organic mob grazed beef and soy free milk fed pasture raised pork. Cindy Rover also manages our beef coop of various producers which include some farms that we only buy a couple head a year from to larger ranches that offer us 10-15 head per year.

Jon Haag and Sons Seafood provides us with the freshest 1-3 day trip seafood out of Oak Island, NC every week. Jon works to support small anglers who are out on day trip boats. They are hand catching all our fish that are great for eating and not giant oversized fish that come off commercial fishing boats. Day trip fish are the freshest you can get- these boats go out on the water for the day and are back to the dock at the end of the day. Commercial fishing vessels are out on the water for up to a month at a time and do not come back to shore until their hull is full. Those fish are dipped in various preservative dips (generally some type of sulfites) to preserve them for up to a month or more until the boats return to shore. These large commercial vessels also drag nets and long lines damaging the ocean floor and disrupting ocean life killing innocent sea creatures in their wake. They also waste fish that they feel are too small to bring to market that inadvertently get caught in their nets or long line hooks. We want small young fish for eating and not GIANT FISH for selling. Our fish are young and small so they are not old toxic fish like their commercial counterparts which are dense with heavy metals such as the mercury everyone is always trying to avoid when searching for clean seafood to enjoy.

Michele and Tommy Core of Michele's Fruits provide us with NC's most flavorful heirloom fruit while in season, generally between the end of April and mid-January.

Ronnie and Stephanie Moore of Moore's Fruits and Vegetables bring us the most amazing beyond organic chemical free seasonal vegetables, nuts and herbs year round. Their vegetables and fruits are heirloom varieties, NEVER GMO or Round-Up Ready varieties. They practice integrated pest management. It's about striking that crucial balance between protecting crops and protecting the environment by encouraging natural biological control.

Mike Faucette, his son Tyler Faucette and their family Faucette Farms offer us organic certified mushrooms, medicinal root veggies, GMO FREE cornmeal & grits that they mill right on their farm near Greensboro.

Liz Pearce of the Gluten Free Galley is our exceptional gluten free baker using sustainable ingredients in her special treats including our very own beyond organic farm fresh produce, raw honey, soy free-gmo free eggs, soy free-gmo free raw milk and gmo free grass fed butter. Liz bakes with nutrient dense gluten free grains and nuts sourced from conscious growers and mills vs. conventional GF products made of chemicals, starches and starches and starches which have ZERO nutritional value and taste and feel like cardboard. You will not believe the products you get from her galley are free of toxic wheat and other grains that are detrimental for us all but especially for Celiac patients. Liz is a Celiac patient which drives her towards producing the best quality, nutrient dense gluten free products to enjoy at home with her own children.

Scott Conary of Carrboro Coffee Roasters is bringing us the best tasting highest quality coffees in the world. Carrboro Coffee Roasters is a local business with a worldwide reach that is committed to community. This is seen in their dedication to building sustainable, direct relationships with coffee farmers, and sharing those relationships back home. This broad sense of community directly connects them to the crop in the same way farmers markets and farm-to-table restaurants do. In the process, they are providing a better product and a better life for coffee growing farmers. Diego & Lauren DeAssis produce soy-free, GMO-free pastured poultry and pastured eggs. Our family shares a vision in believing that there is a great need for sustainable farms in America, and with the decreasing number of farmers, we are starting to see a compromise in healthy and simple living. We desire to fulfill the demands for high-quality pasture raised meats while maintaining full transparency in our sustainable practices.
